Teaching and research assistants are involved in the design, development and modification of courses taught and support ongoing research of the institute's research active staff and also support researchers in writing research grant proposals. lt is also possible that a small faction of the RA will be used to maintain a high level of presence in the institute's front office.The successful candidate has a strong sense of independence, an excellent knowledge of contemporary research methods. S/he will interact regularly with professors, academic staff, and other researchers in a team-oriented environment. The position provides an excellent opportunity for students that later wish to pursue a Ph.D. in socioeconomics.Profile• Applicants will be completing a Master's degree in any relevant social science discipline• You must have a strong interest in empirical social science research and strong data analysis skills• You must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills• Excellent written and spoken English is a requirement, good command of German is a plus but not a necessity
