We are Jugendwohnen im Kiez - Jugendhilfe gGmbH , or "Juwo" for short, a recognised voluntary organisation from Berlin with over 5o educational projects and areas of work. We are professionals, at the same time colourful and, if necessary, critical and courageous when it comes to the development and rights of children, young people and their families.Your responsibilities• As a social worker/social pedagogue (f/m/d) you will form a team together with one or two colleagues and you will be closely supported by experienced colleagues of the organisation.• You will support, advise and care for young people from Ukraine within the framework of residential youth welfare services according to SGB VIII (§§ 30, 34, 35 and 41), taking into account, among other things, the challenges arising from their arrival in Germany.• You will contribute to the case planning process and setting up of suitable counselling and care arrangements• You work in partnership with relevant institutions, especially youth welfare offices, guardians, job centres, schools, regional youth leisure facilities, migration services and other projects.• You document case notes and case planning in cooperation with the young people.Your profile• State recognition as a social worker or social pedagogue (Dipl., B.A. or M.A.) or a degree recognised as comparable is a prerequisite.• You are available for 36 working hours and can also be reached by telephone outside regular working hours (Mon-Fri on weekdays) in cases of emergency or crisis; in some cases, weekend work may be necessary.• Relevant experience in educational support according to Book VIII of the Social Code, preferably in residential youth care, e.g. in supervised youth living, especially in the areas of crisis intervention, clearing and/or working with unaccompanied minor refugees.• You are motivated to work with refugees and partly traumatised young people and have knowledge of immigration and asylum law.• English language skills at level C1 is a prerequisite• You find it easy to get in touch with people in an appreciative way.• You are proficient in the current MS Office package• Your methodological competence and confidence in giving advice are reflected in the way you work.What you can expect from us• Remuneration : our salary system, which has been agreed with the works council, is increased annually in line with the collectively agreed increases in the state of Berlin• Working hours : You are free to arrange your working hours according to the needs of the clients.• Induction : You will be closely supported by experienced colleagues of the provider in setting up the residential group and will regularly take part in the team meetings.• Team activities : Team days, celebrations and original activities are part of the Juwo culture.• Health promotion & sports : we subsidise various offers, e.g. membership in the Urban Sports Club.• Development : we promote further training and qualifications, and you can also regularly take advantage of external supervision.• Appreciation : staff members particularly emphasise our open and supportive working atmosphere.ApplicationFrom 15.5. or 1.6.2022 we are looking for a full-time social worker or social pedagogue (f/m/d) with 36 hours per week to set up a new full-time, part-time residential community (5 places) for adolescents and young adults from Ukraine in Berlin - Kreuzberg .The youth residential community is aimed at five unaccompanied, underage refugees between the ages of 15 and 21 from Ukraine (umA) and is scheduled to move in at the beginning of summer 2022. The young people will receive pedagogical support for their further arrival in Germany, improve their German language skills in everyday interactions and receive support with vocational or school qualifications.Our aim is for the youth residential community to house five unaccompanied, underage refugees between the ages of 15 and 21 from Ukraine (umA). We plan for them to move in at the beginning of summer 2022. The young people will receive pedagogical support for their stay in Germany, improve their German language skills in everyday interactions and receive support with vocational or school qualifications.
