Eastman strives to only conduct business with third parties who share our commitment to compliance with legal requirements and high ethical standards.  We expect our business partners to act with integrity, honesty, and transparency. The Third Party Vetting team, within the Eastman Legal department, is responsible for managing the compliance vetting of Eastman’s third party intermediaries.  We use a risk-based approach in the third party compliance vetting process, focusing on the highest risk third parties for Eastman.  Given the volume of third party intermediaries and the risk profile there is a need to expand our resources to ensure appropriate third party vetting in a productive and efficient manner. The Third Party Vetting team is on a path to build capability to keep pace with expansion. This position as a Regional Third Party Compliance Specialist is critical to further enhance our success.   This position will report to the Global Third Party Compliance Supervisor at the Eastman global headquarters in the United States.  The position will also support and work closely with the Regional Third Party Compliance Analysts.    

Primary Responsibilities
•    Perform an initial review of risk assessments on new third party intermediaries to ensure accuracy and completeness of submittals. 
•    Effectively monitor third parties on a continuous basis in compliance systems/tools and escalate results as appropriate.
•    Provide guidance to and follow-up with stakeholders on all third party requests.
•    Analyze and interpret risk assessment information with a view to approve/reject or escalate the third party for further due diligence.


Qualifications

Experience and Skill Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
•    1 year of compliance related experience.
•    Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.  Knowledge of Portuguese is highly desirable.
•    Diplomatic and open communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Team skills as well as the ability to work independently and follow through task to completion/resolution.
•    Detail oriented to produce accurate and consistent work.
•    Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
