What Is The Opportunity?
As part of the legal department, the paralegal role will report to the General Counsel and have a wide variety and scope of responsibilities, including researching, tracking and summarizing developments in cyber, intelligence and privacy laws,managing cross-departmental projects, and increasing the efficiency of the Company’s contracting processes while also helping evaluate and manage risks alongside the General Counsel.. The ideal candidate will have an interest in technology, cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy, and has experience working in a law firm and/or in an in-house legal capacity.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the contracting process including contract modification and playbook development.
- Assist in the implementation and adoption of contract lifecycle management platform.
- Perform legal research, track and summarize legal developments in the cybersecurity space.
- Maintain, organize and retrieve files, templates, resources and other information.
- Update legal policies and procedures.
- Design, develop, track and manage project plans in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Ensure projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time.
- Coordinate with other departments and projects and change management initiatives.
- Liaise with the business and other departments to ensure that, where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action are taken.
- Prepare and manage documents for the General Counsel to facilitate timely completion of requirements.
- Receive and review incoming privacy issues to determine required action.
- Participate in special projects as required, including legal research.
- Perform administrative work as necessary, including filing documents, planning and scheduling meetings.

- 3-7 years’ experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
- Self-starter who loves a steep learning curve and seeks out learning opportunities.
- Superior analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and a good great sense of humor.
- A high level of discretion and sound judgment.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
Great To Have
- Experience or familiarity with the security/cybersecurity industry.
- Experience with GDPR and privacy law compliance.
- Experience creating contracting playbooks.
- Familiarity with CLM software - extra credit for prior use of Ironclad.
