What you’ll achieve
We are looking for an experienced Global Trade Compliance Counsel to join Dell's Legal team. In this role, you will be a strategic partner to the business and to the legal department. Providing subject matter expertise and legal support for global trade compliance issues, you will ensure Dell operates within the law at all times and limit risk exposure.

You will:

• Partner with and provide legal support to Dell’s Global Trade Compliance organization to ensure internal compliance processes and procedures fulfill applicable trade regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic and tactical compliance counsel to key business stakeholders on legal and compliance risks under Dell's trade compliance policies with respect to US customs, sanctions and export laws.
• Lead, perform or support investigations of alleged violations of law, applicable Dell policies, Dell's Code of Conduct or Dell's Partner Code of Conduct.
• Draft and implement relevant legal compliance contract templates, Letters of Assurance, and Third-Party Engagement Letters to ensure the company's full legal rights and to protect Dell.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes and provide practical insights on application of these new laws to Dell's trade compliance programs.
• Contribute to strategic team and department projects and initiatives, collaborating with colleagues across the department and across functions.

Essential Requirements

• J.D. plus admission to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction
• 4+ years legal experience preferably in compliance, internal investigations and risk mitigation
• Proven global experience as a trade compliance counsel
• Knowledge and understanding of various US trade compliance laws with expertise in at least one of the following areas: US sanctions laws, US export controls laws and/or US customs/tariff laws
• Expertise with international trade laws and regulatory investigation procedures

Desirable Requirements

• Legal expertise in anti-money laundering requirements
