Responsibilities
The Vehicle Services team is responsible for building and maintaining the services and vehicle data that comprise the fleet of cars within Enterprise Holdings. We enforce the full lifecycle of the vehicle from the time our cars are ordered to when they are sold as used vehicles. The team interacts closely with and supports the suite of Vehicle Management client applications that the business uses to interact with that lifecycle. The Vehicle Services team also works closely with many different rental client teams to include tablets, kiosks, mobile applications and rental application systems to rent, track and maintain our fleet. In the next fiscal year, there will be several new initiatives that will focus on simplifying our vehicle solution as well as continuing to expand the mobile solutions needed to maintain our fleet.
As the Production Support Manager, you will be responsible for defining the goals, objectives, processes and resources to support the overall strategic vision of the Vehicle Services team. You will be responsible for people management activities including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, performance and salary reviews. You will be responsible for developing and retaining strong performers and preparing them for future responsibilities. You will play a critical role in production support and will be responsible for managing a diverse team of professionals including Engineers, Business Analysts and Software Analysts. You will be collaborating with other IT and business teams to identify, mitigate and resolve production issues. You will also help identify, develop, and implement policies, standards and procedures that support team activities and lead individuals in adhering to and supporting team procedures. Qualifications
Required:
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
The IT Manager position requires 6+ years of related IT experience
2+ years of experience managing and motivating teams in an Production Support environment
Experience working within Agile/iterative methodologies and practices such as Kanban and/or Scrum
Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence or similar
Able to exhibit a history of successful collaboration with various application development teams
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships across business and IT teams
Able to motivate and guide direct reports to accomplish goals
Experience developing effective teams, creating career development plans and creating succession plans
Display leadership, team centric skills and ability to solve complex problems
Demonstrate success in tactical and strategic execution as well as escalation awareness
Ability to develop people at various levels in their career that lead to successful high performing teams
Strong personal management skills emphasizing time management, organization and attention to detail
Strong multitasking skills
Excellent communication skills
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Experience in large scale or high transactional volume applications is strongly preferred
Experience in backend Service Oriented Architecture with an emphasis on Web Services is strongly preferred
Understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle is preferred
