JOB PURPOSE
The Technical Writer and Trainer is responsible for the creation of documentation for internal and external customers and creates, coordinates, and/or performs training for customers on those and other topics related to IT systems and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain system, process, and application documentation
- Conduct training needs assessment through collaboration with support team, IT leadership, and/or departments
- Establish and maintain multiple channels for training opportunities
- Arrange and oversee training sessions and opportunities for various topics
- Perform in-person, remote, hybrid, and on-demand training as needed
- Gather and analyze training feedback to increase effectiveness of training
- Perform other duties as delegated by supervisor
- Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and staying abreast of current technological advances
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related services as needed
- Ensure adherence to good safety protocols
- Follow federal and state laws, as well as company policies

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience and/or training in the field related to the title of the position.
- Expertise in various tools to develop and edit documentation and training materials.
- Must be able to transport self to various facility sites as required.
- Experience with complex systems and/or in an educational environment preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- No physical exertion required.
- Travel within or outside of state.
- Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.
FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY
Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Charter Schools USA's policy.
