Job Description

This is a fast-paced account management role which requires you to deliver communications as a service on behalf of our clients. You will also be required to work closely with colleagues in marketing, online training, data and partner management to deliver contractual obligations effectively.

  • The role is responsible for aligning Capita’s Brand Guidelines with the contracts to improve user journeys, develop campaigns and provide communications advice to the team and client.
  • For the TOpS contract, the Communications Lead will work closely with the Standards and Testing Agency’s Communications Team to plan and deliver proactive communications and respond to reactive events that may impact the test cycle. They will also develop training material for the contact centre, copy for the marker recruitment process and online portal (Primary Assessment Gateway).
  • For the ECF and NPQ programmes the role is an integral part of the team – developing, implementing, and evaluating communications products and campaigns. They will also be responsible for producing outreach materials to schools, such as PowerPoints, FAQs packs and digital learning copy.
  • The Communications Lead will provide ‘communications as a service’ to contracts in the Education and Learning Sector as the team grows and wins new work.
  • The Communications Lead will also need to support and occasionally deputise for the Head of Communications in the Education and Learning Sector.

  • Solid communications experience within the public sector
  • Self-starter comfortable working to plan, liaising with key stakeholders and delivering reliably
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Agile and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Someone organised who is used to managing multiple projects and stakeholders at once
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions
  • Sound business and political acumen, good external awareness of how the bigger picture relates to our work
  • Microsoft Teams, Teams Live, Poppulo and other communications channels experience beneficial
