Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with, manage and review an identified caseload, ensuring timely support is offered and all legislative requirements are met
  • Provide independent and impartial Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) through 1:1 interviews, group sessions and/or front line service
  • Work with education providers and other partners to agree shared outcomes and build effective relationships for the benefit of the client group
  • Use local and national labour market information to inform realistic choices and decisions
  • Engage with individuals to agree and complete progression plans that support transition, such as Career Action Plans, Participation Plans and Person-Centred Plans/Education and Health Care Plans
  • Identify gaps in provision and advocate on behalf of individuals to secure appropriate support as needed
  • Encourage and enable individuals to access appropriate learning, training and work opportunities adhering to participation requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • IAG Qualification at Level 6
  • Experience in delivery of careers information, advice and guidance to young people, individually and in groups.
  • Knowledge and ability to work with IT applications including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of working within an education setting
  • Full clean driving licence and use of a vehicle
  • Ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS
