About the team
As part of a small team of administrators, you will support a busy Product Development division, within Pearson School Qualifications business unit. The products created by the division range from textbooks to interactive digital content and support UK schools, colleges and international schools across a wide range of subjects including Primary Maths and Literacy, Modern Foreign Languages, English, Maths and Science. The qualifications supported include GCSE and A Level Maths, Science and English, Humanities and international qualifications.
The department is split across a number of UK sites, and the administrator role is integral to ensuring effective communication across all teams. Adhering to Pearson’s current Covid-19 guiding principles, this role requires remote working, with limited access to office working and with the possibility for limited future travel.
About the role
The Administrator role is varied, and there is opportunity to make the role your own! It has responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the department, and supporting a range of different teams and functions. The role works closely with both internal teams and external suppliers.
A typical day
You could get involved in a wide range of administrative tasks, depending on the team you are working with:
Departmental communications distribution
Arranging department meetings
Creation/distribution of business reports
Support managers with new starter onboarding
Vendor onboarding and account set up
Market research survey creation
Manage incentives for market research
Process and archive/file management of author agreements
Process and troubleshooting contracts and purchase orders
Manage digital archiving submissions
Support on key business/change initiatives
Support on digital transformation as required, with tasks such as creating release notes, internal newsletters, organising programme folders and meeting coordination
