More than 100 pediatricians, pediatric surgeons and general practitioners took part in the 1st Ischl pediatric conference in the theater and congress center of the spa town. In close cooperation with the municipality of Bad Ischl and the Salzkammergut tourist office, the Salzkammergut Klinikum, as the organiser, has succeeded in bringing excellent speakers to the imperial city. The focus of the conference was on a mix of innovative lectures and workshops from various specialist areas of paediatrics and pediatric surgery. Great attention was also paid to the management of emergency situations involving children.

" The networking of topics from two departments that communicate with each other in a joint conference, in a modern design, with special speakers, in a special region, that was the idea that motivated us to bring the congress to life. We also deliberately addressed young colleagues who have not yet decided on a subject and who might want to work and live in this wonderful area, " says Elisabeth Osman, who also wants to attract young doctors to the region with the conference.
