The Childhood, Youth and Inclusion performance group is responsible for early support, open child and youth work, the integration of migrants, community and neighborhood work and the city-wide inclusion strategy. The youth work of the city of Uster runs the youth club as well as outreach and mobile youth work. We are looking for a. your main tasks

As a youth worker, you and your teammates are responsible for the professional operation of the youth center. They get in touch with the young people and various peer groups, plan and manage smaller activities as well as larger projects and work on different levels for a cool and at the same time socializing space in and around the meeting place. Your tasks include individual support, support for groups and mediation in (usage) conflicts, as well as active networking and cooperation with schools, specialists and key people within the city of Uster.

Your skills

• A degree in socio-cultural animation / social work or proven experience in open youth work
• A great understanding of and interest in the reality of life and the life phase of youth with all its different characteristics
• Proven experience in project work-> planning, management and further development of projects
• Open, empathetic personality and confident demeanor
• initiative and independence. Ability to keep track.
• Ability to work in a team, flexibility, self-reflection and resilience
• Willingness to work irregular hours (Friday evenings and some Saturdays a year)
