Location is flexible within the US with preference for NJ or Chicago. 

Purpose of Role:

This is a global role responsible for the development, maintenance and adherence to data security protocols and controls which permit accessibility to and ensure integrity of the Workday HCM system at Mars.   This role acts as the primary Subject Matter Expert ("SME") on Workday HCM security.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in IT or relevant field preferred or equivalent experience

•                4+ years hands-on experience on Workday security configuration e.g. data domains; security groups; security roles including role based, user based, segmented and intersecting security roles; migration of security configurations.

•                2+ years hands-on experience in configuring custom security in Workday

•                2+ years of experience in Workday system administration e.g. tenant management, version releases, regression testing.

•                Strongly preferred:  Within past 2-4 years, has completed relevant Workday training on security such as Configurable Security Fundamentals, Advanced Configurable Security, Integration Security, etc.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Workday HCM Implementation:

• Design: 
  • In close partnership with the Systems Implementation ("SI") partner and relevant Functional or Technical Leads on the project team, this role creates and maintains the Workday security design for configurations, workflows, reports, integrations, tenants.
  • Partners with the relevant Mars resources (Data Governance/Council & Data Analytics COE) to develop the future state User Access Management for Production and non-Production tenants and creates the necessary documentation.
  • Partners with the relevant security architects and technical resources within Mars to seek and ensure alignment on Workday security design particularly but not limited to integrations, tenant access, etc.   
• Build: 
  • Migrates security configurations across tenants throughout the project
  • Analyzes any new security requirements or changes required, identifies impact of changes, performs and test security changes
  • Partners with relevant Mars and partner resources to enable the following while performing the required Workday tasks:
    • SSO configuration
    • Multi-factor authentication
    • Mobile Access
  • Manages ISU (Integration System User) creation and permissions
  • Ensures that Workday generated keys and certificates are made available for integration partners and that certificates conform to standards
  • Processes access requests to the tenants and supports tenant management strategy
• Testing:  Creates and documents test scenarios to validate security design, executes the test scenarios and/or provides the test scenarios to other testers for testing, provides inputs on security considerations and dependencies to the Project Managers and Testing Leads for project planning of Testing activities and for all test cycles, etc.  Works with the Testing Lead to identify test scenarios for security that can be automated and then works with the Test Automation team on test automation of those scenarios.  Analyzes any security defects assigned to the role and determines resolution, enacts the resolution.
• Cutover:  Acts at the Security SME which provides inputs to and reviews the cutover plan to ensure all security-related activities and dependencies are included.  Performs the security-related cutover activities.  Receives any relevant knowledge transfer from the SI Partner resources.  Transfers knowledge to any Mars resources as required.
• Go-Live:  Performs a key role during Go Live to immediately address and solve for any security issues.
• Hypercare:  Analyzes security defects assigned to the role and determines resolution, enacts the resolution.

• After the Workday HCM Implementation:

• In an ongoing support capacity, this role maintains the Workday security design for configurations, workflows, reports, integrations, tenants. 
• Partners with Security team to support any distributed security across other applications based on Workday security roles
• Enables tenant strategy to support anonymization and masking of data for testing during update cycles.
• Maintains the User Access Management documentation.
• Partners with relevant resources to identify and develop regular audits of security policies and procedures.  Partners with relevant resources to perform the regular audits and report findings.  Ensures compliance with segregation of duties best practices.  Remediates any issues found during audits.  Develops and executes the plan to address any security gaps.
• Continuously researches and stays educated on all security-related features or impact of Workday releases or fixes.
• Acts as the Workday HCM Security SME on any projects, activities, enhancement requests, break fixes, etc. that require the role's expertise to provide inputs and/or identify any necessary changes to the security design.
• Actively participate and perform relevant activities in the Release Management process.
