HSBC Work Experience 2022

The UK Work Experience programme is aimed at students looking to get a realistic taste of what life is truly like at a leading global Bank. Consisting of a blend of experiences, both virtual and where available, physical, where students can expect to build on their knowledge of banking and financial services, and explore the potential future careers available at HSBC.

The programme will be run virtually for 4 days, where students can gain insight in to the different roles and functions across HSBC, as well as improving their personal and employability skills.

Where physical placements are available, the student will spend the day with a team getting hands on experience of what it is like working for HSBC.  These physical placements will be available across different functions of the bank across the UK.

Over the course of a week, hosted during the Summer of 2022, students can expect to get to know HSBC – our values, our history and exactly what we do – and gain an insight into actual jobs that you could be doing if you came to work for us full time.

This blended model also now mirrors the future way of working with a hybrid of working in the office and working virtually from home.

The recruitment process will include completing an online application with eligibility questions, a short online assessment and final stage telephone interview.

We recruit on a rolling basis, meaning that the telephone interviews will start when the first applications are submitted.

Where are the placement locations?

If successful with your application, where there is a physical placement available, you agree to be assigned a placement within Exeter.

Requirements

To apply, you will need to be in full-time secondary, sixth form or college education and considering financial services as a career after school or university.
