The Wholesale Risk Data and Reporting group within the Risk Management Organization has an immediate need for a Risk Data and Reporting Senior Analyst. This role will serve as a thought leader in the delivery of complex and comprehensive risk reporting, data, business intelligence, and related services. Role is primarily aligned to support stakeholders and the Risk Management Organization, but can support other areas within Truist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Design, implement, and execute complex recurring or ad hoc reports, analyses, data, system-related, or operational tasks in accordance with departmental processes and controls.
2.  Investigate and research unexplained variations in reports, data, systems, etc.  Explain results of reports and research to department management and other stakeholders.
3.  Develop and administer controls to ensure the integrity of departmental process.  Evaluate and recommend improvements to departmental processes.
4.  Develop departmental documentation, particularly for highly complex and technical activities.
5.  Serve as a consultative resource on risk reporting, data, system, or related issues.  Engage with stakeholders to identify business objectives and scope solution requirements. 
6.   Lead or participate in projects with heightened risks, complexity, and resource requirements.
7.  Mentor less experienced teammates to build their own technical expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1.  Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent
2.  7+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3.  Advanced skills in data wrangling, data engineering, data science, or related areas.  Experience with languages and tools such as SQL/SAS or other Business Intelligence tools.
4.  Knowledge of the industry\'s competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry. 
5.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders. 
6.  Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
1.  Graduate degree in related field
2.  9+ years of related experience
3.  Previous experience in banking, with specific emphasis on reporting, business intelligence, systems, technology, data, risk, compliance or related areas
4.  Relevant professional or technical certifications
