Role Summary:

Perform daily production plan operations to ensure continuity and quality on the production line.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Welders with experience in SMAW , GMAW , FCAW and GTAW welding processes
• Experience in having completed certification tests as a welder, handling of WPS
• Interpretation of drawings and welding symbols
• Experience with automated welding processes ( desirable ).
• Attitude and orientation towards learning and continuous improvement.
• Availability and opening for overtime weekends
• Be adaptable to production volume requirements
• Availability for the gooseneck to automatic/manual welding processes

Basic  

• Management of SMAW processes
• Basic knowledge in GTAW process (TIG).

Ideal

• Operation of automatic welding machines
• Mechanized or semi-automatic processes
• GTAW orbital.

Basic knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of the welding process.
• Identification of base materials.
• Differentiation of filler materials and consumable designations.
• Previous experience with the use of WPS's/technical procedures by Engineering.
• Management of internal quality procedures, filling in records (having worked under a quality system), Monitoring of established processes.
• Use of basic tools for the welding process polishers and hand tools.
• Use of cranes/hoists, electric and pneumatic tools for cleaning and roughing of welds.
• Use of welding symbology.
• Notions of welding tests (non-destructive tests - penetrating liquids, magnetic particles).

Technical Skills (desired):

• Qualifications as a SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW process welder.
• Plate or pipe with thicknesses greater than ½”.
• Full penetration weld testing preferred.
