Our Frankfort, KY facility is looking for Weld Technicians for first and third shifts. This position is responsible for the operation of automatic and manual welding equipment, straightening presses, radial arm drills, and other equipment for the manufacturing ot trailer axles.  The axles must be welded according to the work instructions and customer specifications and be produced in a timely and high-quality manner with attention to safety at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates for this position must have the ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop and lift up to 10-hours, work in a heated area, lift up to 40-pounds, and read and interpret work instructions, bills of material, drawings, and other diagrams.  Candidates must also be willing to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.  The ability to read and interpret tape measures, calipers, mics and levels is required.  

At least one-year previous weld experience is required, with manufacturing setting weld experience preferred.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and candidates must pass a Meritor CVS Trailer Axle Weld Test to qualify.
