Hours: 22.5 per week
Salary: £9.39 per hour
Duration: Fixed-Term contract until 25-Sep-2022
This role has been created to support our visitors when Shaw’s Corner is open to the public, so you'll be required to work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from March until the end of September 2022. There may also be occasional opportunities to work during the week and on Bank Holidays. Our working day is from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
The house at Shaw's Corner was originally built as the New Rectory for Ayot St Lawrence by the Church of England in 1902. The garden at Shaw’s Corner extends to three and a half acres surrounding the Edwardian villa and is in a conservation area.
Please be advised that Ayot St Lawrence does not have any public transport links so it's important that applicants have a full driving licence and use of a car.
As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day.
You’ll be responsible for making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place you’ll work with the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.
You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
