Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a Welcome & Service Assistant, plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service.
This Northumbrian country house is one of the National Trust’s more recent acquisitions. Seaton Delaval Hall has undergone a transformation; with £7.8 million invested in conservation and developing the visitor experience, including the new Brewhouse Café and the Delaval Playdium play area. A place of theatre, imagination and fun that brings together a spirit of adventurous programming and events, alongside the drama of the place, that keeps visitors coming back again and again. Seaton Delaval Hall continues to go from strength to strength having welcomed 100,000 visitors in the last year for the first time.

As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent service to all our visitors, every day.
As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day. The National Trust ethos will always be at the forefront of your mind, and you'll be proud to share our good work with our visitors.
You’ll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key and promoting ways to support the National Trust including membership. Working with our spirit of place you’ll work within the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.
Please note that the usual working pattern for this role is Wednesday - Sunday in line with our property open days. Our open days are Wednesday - Sunday and every day during school holidays.
