Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team this role as a Welcome & Service Assistant plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service at Murlough National Nature Reserve. Varied contracted hours available - 510, 410.
This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year
Murlough National Nature Reserve is home to thousands of years of history as well as some of the most stunning views found in Ireland at Murlough Beach. The ancient dune system is a home for a range of flora and fauna including rare species like the marsh fritillary butterfly which thrives in the specialised habitat of Murlough. Working within a small team, you'll be based mostly outdoors at our sites during the busy summer season, engaging with regular visitors and new visitors alike.
As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent service to all our visitors, every day. As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day.
You’ll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. You'll be their first point of call on site, dealing with members, cash payments and helping to maintain the pay and display machines. Excellent customer service will be at the heart of the role, ensuring that a high standard is maintained with every visitor. You'll be able to deliver on targets set around membership and fundraising by being passionate about the work we do, developing your knowledge of the fascinating natural world of Murlough and the Mournes.
You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property from the toilets to the signage, and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, working with the Ranger team to keep up to date with everything happening on site.
