THE ROLE

• Write, edit, produce, coordinate, plan and publish content on the Barbados Today website, app and social media channels while maintaining the highest editorial standards.• Plan and assign written, video and graphic content for relevant digital platforms to support KPIs, specifically traffic and channel development goals.• Maintain proficiency and knowledge in the latest digital and social media technologies and best practices (i.e. new tools, algorithm changes, platform enhancements, etc.).• Work with the Editor-In-Chief to develop policies and style guides for the Barbados Today News website and social media channels.• Work closely with the production and creative teams to produce and optimize assets for web and social distribution. Qualifications and experience:• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related degree or equivalent years of work-related experience.• Knowledge of digital media trends and emerging platforms.• Strong news judgment and ability to write and edit quickly while maintaining high standards.
