Regional Director, Wealth Management

As a Regional Director, Wealth Management you would be responsible for a team of 15-18 Wealth Management Regional Planning Consultants (WM RPCs). You will hire, train, develop and lead the team holding them accountable for meeting relationship and service level goals.  You drive service and planning strategies through the WM RPCs, who have responsibility for developing and maintaining relationships with high net worth clients and working closely with the Wealth Management Advisors, the local Planning Consultants, and Book RMs. These clients will vary in their financial sophistication and the complexity of their affairs. You will also influence the development of the WM service strategy and help to develop the client practice management. The Regional Director drives scale and profitability through operational efficiencies, management of PWM infrastructure, etc.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree and advanced degree preferred

CFP, CFA or equivalent recommended 

Minimum 10+ years of relevant financial services experience required.  Relevant HNW client experience in dealing with complex wealth management issues. 

3 or more years of management within a financial services environment is helpful

Series 7 (General Securities) and Series 9/10 (General Supervisory Principal) and Series 66 (Investment Adviser) licenses required

The Purpose of Your Role

The Director will collaborate with a broad range of product teams, as well as various areas within SAI, Trust, OSG, Fidelity Institutional, and LRC to identify and implement coordinated solutions and address complex issues. This individual will be responsible for operations, risk, and compliance for a regional field-based teams.

The Value You Deliver

Setting Direction: The Director should understand the industry, the financial markets, competitive influences, approach to HNW clients and the overall sales process to ensure the right support to clients, and drive the appropriate KPI’s for the broader business

Client Escalations: Work with the PC, internal partners, and clients as necessary on complex client escalations

Fidelity Navigation:  Of behalf of the client, work with business partners to develop solutions and execute on those, to ensure client needs are met.

Service Strategy:  Partnering together, the Directors should understand service at the client level, and be responsible for providing  input,  helping to develop solutions, and developing measures on the future direction of the wealth management service strategy, fitting within the broader PI Service strategy.

Practice Management:  Partnering together, the Directors will develop this proactive element to the overall service strategy, bringing the overall high-touch service to life.

Hiring, Training Coaching, Supervising and Developing: The job is to put the right team in place and give the PC’s the tools and resources they need to excel in their roles

Up to 50% of travel is required

$85,000 – $150,000

This position is eligible for incentive compensation or an annual bonus opportunity.
