GENERAL DEFINITION:  Under minimal supervision, incumbent will be able to perform the following  functions related to production and vendor products; 1) Main Receiving Dock and final disposition of products, 2) Raw Materials receipt, storage, and distribution, and 3) Finished goods distribution.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receives, identifies, and verifies materials incoming from production and/or outside vendors and stores in appropriate location per specifications and department guidelines.

2. Distributes and/or stores items per department guidelines and specifications.

3. Accurately processes and maintains all related documentation via PC and/or handwritten.

4. Using appropriate material handling equipment loads and/or unloads truckload carriers per specifications.

5. Prepares orders for shipment per instructions and specifications including pallet labeling, consolidation, or stretch wrapping.

6. Maintains inventory per department guidelines.

7. Responds to all inter-company requests for materials and material counts. Incumbent serves as a resource to dept/team members and others in resolving related issues and problems.

8. As required, operates hand-truck, pallet trucks, forklifts, swing mast and shrink wrap equipment.  May operate swing reach.  

9. As a member of a production support team; trains, assists, and supports other team members in problem solving and meeting department goals. Continuously reviews current processes and searches out improvement methods to improve product/process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process.

10. Performs general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within department/group and assists other areas as required.

11. Based on business need, assists/supports in other job functions within process or other company processes within scope and ability.  

12. Troubleshoot Oracle receiving and shipping issues

13. Investigate Oracle Inventory inaccuracies

14. General understanding on the process International shipments

15. Responsible for assisting in the development of processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of the shipping operation

16. Have the ability to train employees on new procedures

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED

2. 5+ years experience in material handling including the operations of powered material handling equipment.

3. Experience with Oracle, ProShip or equivalent shipping software is required

4. WMS and Oracle MSCA experience is required

5. Must have demonstrated skill and safety in using material handling equipment; Order Picker, Swing Reach, Fork Lift, Hand Trucks, Pallet Trucks and Clamp Truck. Must be able to obtain a Material Handling License. 

6. Thorough understanding and skills in Material Handling operations and processes.

7. Must have demonstrated proficiency utilizing Inventory Control systems database and storage locator systems.

8. Solid knowledge of site operations, inventory and materials control management.

9. Training and orientation skills.

10. Good communication and ability to relate well to others.

11. Good data entry, inventory and math skills.

12. Good organization and attention to detail.

13. Must be able to continuously stand and/or sit, stretch, reach, stoop, and bend.

14. Must be able to work at varying heights.

15. Must be safety conscious and alert to safety hazards.

16. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and on occasionally 100 lbs. with mechanical assistance or the help of another employee. Using appropriate material handling equipment, incumbent maneuvers up to 2000 lbs.
