Project Overview:
The Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) will safely destroy 2,611 tons of mustard agent in mortar rounds and artillery projectiles stored at the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot (PCD) approximately 25 miles from Pueblo, Colorado. Neutralization followed by biotreatment is the technology selected by the Department of Defense to destroy the Pueblo chemical weapons stockpile. The PCAPP plant began the operations and munition destruction phase as of September 2016.
Candidates for unescorted access to the Chemical Limited Area must successfully clear National Agency Check with Local Check (NACLC). All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. Must be physically fit and able to work safely at an operating plant. Eligible applicants must be a US Citizen and successfully go through a government screening process. Based on project goals and objectives, candidates established within our local community are desirable.
Position Summary:
The Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) is looking for a Warehouse Specialist at the Pueblo, CO location. This position will report to the Warehouse Manager at the PCAPP project. Performs functions of project site materials management, including, kick & count, receipt, storage and issue of project materials, consumables, and equipment; documentation and data entry, site equipment and facilities rentals, and material control in the warehouse, lay down yards, and jobsite locations.
This PCAPP position falls under the scope of the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act of 1965 (SCA). The SCA requires PCAPP to provide employees with benefits and wages no less than the amounts the Department of Labor has established for the location and classification in which the employee will be working.
Responsibilities:
- Reports to and receives operational direction from the Warehouse Manager, or Supervisor.
- Maintains direct working relationship with Project Procurement, Field Project Controls, discipline Field Engineers, Field Procurement, Automation Support, Project Department Personnel, (Sub) Contractors, and site Customer personnel to ensure that Project personnel are provided with materials to support the completion of Project activities.
- Performs kick and count and inspection of arriving material, ensures receipt documentation is retained and recorded in BPS / Maximo with a permanent material receiving report ( MRR ), storage and issue of project materials, consumables, and equipment; documentation and data entry, site equipment and facilities rentals, and material control in the warehouse, lay down yards, and jobsite locations.
- Participates in the physical count and inspection of arriving material.
- Reviews purchase order receiving documentation including commercial invoices.
- Reviews packing lists and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy.
- Reviews material receiving reports for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Prepares documentation to record unsatisfactory over, short, and damage conditions of material received and maintains UOS&D log.
- Preforms monthly self assessments to ensure that material is stored in accordance with the project procurement storage plan and that the location and quantity of material in storage is properly recorded on the appropriate storage records (manual or automated).
- Ensures the accomplishment of the annual physical inventories are completed on a timely basis to ensure valid records are continuously maintained.
- Maintains custody of all project materials.
- Takes part in the disposition of surplus project materials as approved by project management and directed by Property supervision.
- Reviews preparation of shipping documents and registers for materials shipped from temporary operating and jobsite locations.
- Ensures that control registers are prepared and maintained for industrial gas bottles and returnable reels and containers.
- Prepares and maintains inventory control records (manual and automated).
Qualifications and Skills:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or 5 years related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Must be a US Citizen.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of field purchasing functions related to the acquisition of materials on projects.
- Working knowledge of material storage and handling.
- Experience in inspection, receiving, storage and issuing documentation paperwork requirements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of BPS ( Bechtel Procurement System ) or standard industry supply chain automation systems
- Knowledge of Maximo Enterprise System
