About the Role
Lockheed Martin UK Rotary Mission System Department (RMS) are expanding our Cyber Electronic Warfare teams and are seeking enthusiastic specialist engineers to support the investigation of RF signals and systems in order to produce analysis enabling the automation of detection and response.
RMS is a leading prime contractor and systems integrator responsible for a wide portfolio of high technology programmes, complex integration, training and through-life support, spanning the defence and civil sectors. The business is a leading provider of systems engineering, software development and complex programme management for global security, cyber, civil and commercial markets.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Vulnerability Researcher to join our team.
If successful you will be working within a small team on a customer funded research project to:
Perform technical analysis of commercial products for the discovery of potential vulnerabilities.
Develop in-house software tools to allow deep technical analysis of complex systems.
Demonstrate proof of concept implementations to display the exploitation of discovered vulnerabilities.
Reporting and recording investigations against standardised formats to enable further work by wider customer teams.
Provide technical expertise to a diverse team undertaking the RF vulnerability analysis of systems.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
Knowledge of at least two of the following:
Knowledge of penetration testing tools and processes within a communication systems context.
Proven experience of using tools to capture, investigate and exploit network traffic.
Knowledge of communications protocols and vulnerability analysis.
Experience of software defined radio and waveform analysis.
Desired skills, qualifications and experience
An understanding of embedded systems and digital communications protocols.
GnuRadio or OpenCPI, and software defined radio
Python and/or C/C++
Development on Linux and use of Git
Experience in the defence industry, which may include penetration testing or vulnerability research.
