What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for an individual to work as part of our MI Stream of work on a major Government project. All applicants must be highly adept at interfacing with the business and understanding requirements gathering and presenting BI information in a visually appealing manner. The candidate must be able to work on their own without supervision. Excellent communication skills are required along with an ability to communicate with both technical and businesspeople. Experience of consultancy and working on projects from cradle to grave would be beneficial.

You must have:
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Have flexibility to travel for work, when required
• Have the right to work in the UK & have been a permanent UK resident for a minimum of the last 3 years to meet security clearance/vetting requirements.

What we’re looking for:

Essential skills

• Experience of working in visualisation tools such as Power BI/Qlik/Cognos etc
• Industry experience in business intelligence reporting
• Ability to build engaging dashboards
• Translate business requirements into solution specifications
• Understanding of data warehouse design / dimensional modelling
• SQL

Other Desirable Technical Skills

• Full Project Lifecycle (Requirements, Build, Test, Deploy and Document)
• Proven experience in enterprise Microsoft BI and Data Warehousing concepts
• ETL Skills (e.g. Azure Data Factory, SSIS, IBM DataStage)
• Other BI Reporting (IBM Cognos, Tableau, SSRS)
• Commercial experience working with any of the following Azure platform as a service (PAAS) technologies:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Data Lake Store and Azure Data Lake Analytics with uSQL
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure SQL Data Warehouse with PolyBase
  • Cosmos DB
  • Azure Analysis Services with DAX
