Working with the Senior Visitor Experience Officer you’ll be supporting a large team to deliver all aspects of the Children’s Country House experience. This team is responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day visitor operation and instilling fun and playfulness throughout.
This role includes regular weekend and school holiday working.
The Children’s Country House at Sudbury will be a brand-new visitor offer for children and families, offering a playful heritage day out. Opening early in 2022, we’re recruiting a team to help us reimagine, reinvent and reinvigorate our programme, approach and relationship with visitors. Every member of our team will be focused on the key goal of engaging children with heritage and making our work as playful, accessible and inclusive as possible. We have the highest standards of conservation and care for our collections and buildings, and we carry out this purpose with and for the children who visit us. You’ll be responsible for supervising and allocating work to the team to ensure everything gets done. You’ll ensure that high standards of customer service are delivered to all visitors, with children’s needs put first, and that a fun and playful experience is achieved. You’ll support with training and development needs of the team and support other teams in the delivery of seasonal programming and the development of the experience. You’ll support volunteers and manage their volunteering experience.
