Expertise Required:
The role of VP – Strategic Business Solutions group is based at Citi Analytics and Information Management Center and reports to the SVP leading the team. The key requirement for the role is the ability to lead a team in understanding the business objective, formulating the Analytics solution and work with business partners to deliver and execute analytical solutions. VP should be able to provide thought leadership and guide the team to deliver the project objectives and present the results in a coherent manner to senior stakeholders. The individual should possess executive presence, proven ability to lead teams and be proactive in leading new initiatives to improve the team. The individual should provide mentoring, coaching to team member and create a positive work culture in the team
1. Analytic Project Execution:
Ability to lead team members and deliver analytic solutions on complex projects Ability to translate Operational priorities into vision for Analytics team and drive execution of vision through projects and initiatives Measure and own the business impact of work, Set and manage partner expectations, manage timeliness around project priorities Improves business processes to drive efficiencies Can coach/ mentor team members on theory/ practical applications of relevant tools & techniques Provide thought leadership to continuously challenge and improve the team
2. Business Knowledge: Develop business context and knowledge. Proactively seek out best practices and adopt the same in day-to-day functioning.
3. Communication: Independently manage communication with Global partners. Ability to influence senior partners and establish as a thought leader with Analytics and Operations partners
4. People management: - Improve the overall competency of the team and create an ecosystem that promotes innovation and continuous learning
5. Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to leverage best practices
Education:
Highly numerate, as demonstrated by Masters in a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, etc. from a Premier Institute or a track record of performance that demonstrates this ability.
Experience:
• 13+ Years of Analytical Experience
• Exposure to Financial Services
• Strong experience in marketing and digital analytics
Skills:
Analytical Skills:
1. Proficient in Formulating Analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data
2. Business Impact Analysis
3. Hypothesis testing, Knowledge of Segmentation
4. Basic Knowledge of predictive modeling
5. Simple Optimization
Tools and Platforms:
1. Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint
2. Proficient in Python/ R/ SAS
3. SQL, Tableau preferred
4. Familiarity with RDBMS - Teradata/ Oracle, etc
