Vice President – Product

The Vice President – Product will lead the development and launch of digital asset investment products for Fidelity Digital Funds. The successful candidate will lead new product ideation and assessment, product design and development. You will create and implement commercially viable products in several

different areas including absolute-return, quantitative, lending and mining. These will be delivered through traditional private fund, ETF, separately managed account, and model structures. The objective of this role is to create a product strategy that drives the commercial success of the business.

This role reports to the head of Fidelity Digital Funds, the digital assets investment manager of Fidelity Investments. We are a lean startup that values creativity and a get-it-done approach. Our team members are passionate students of the industry, incurably curious and dedicated to delivering the best digital assets investment experience we can for Fidelity’s clients.

The Purpose of the Role

• Define the overall product strategy and roadmap

• Design and manage an end-end product development and management process suitable to digital assets

• Understand and articulate demand: customer segments, investor behavior, market size and growth characteristics

• Ideate and assess creative product ideas that differentiate Fidelity from its competitors

• Manage an incubation environment designed to test and select the best ideas

• Develop business cases for selected ideas, and for those funded, add to the product portfolio

• Monitor financial and operational performance of the product portfolio to ensure alignment with risk/return objectives; manage portfolio over time

• Identify and source required capabilities to deliver on investment product implementation plan

• Continuously monitor and assess the digital assets competitive ecosystem

• Partner with appropriate functions and capabilities within Fidelity Digital

The Skills You Bring

• Demonstrated track record of ideating, developing, and launching commercially successful investment products and solutions for institutions and wealth managers

• Expertise in the crypto currency space or demonstrable understanding and interest in the space including knowledge of how digital assets work and what drives investor behavior

• Deep understanding of investment vehicle structures, how they are regulated and how they are distributed

• Deep capital markets expertise, including knowledge of derivatives and alternatives.

• Exceptional relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization

• Self-starter, willing to roll up your sleeves to get the work done in a fast-paced startup environment

• Strong business acumen, positive and progressive mindset, entrepreneurial and ambitious personality

• 6+ years working experience in financial services in a product development and management role; 2+ years’ experience in digital assets; CFA preferred
