Job Description

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Operations: Project Management Office (PMO) will be responsible for the timely and effective facilitation & delivery of ABM Technical Solutions (ATS) client projects through the effective management & direction of the staff assigned to the PMO and engagement with internal and external team members / vendors.

The core objective of the PMO will be to plan, organize, drive & complete client projects which will involve but are not limited to project engineering, technology identification, equipment selection, construction management, engagement with contractors/vendors, coordination with internal operations teams and tightly managed workflows and reporting.

This Leader is charged with driving consistency, predictability, and efficiency of the ABM Technical Solutions project delivery capability, execution, and end of project client satisfaction. The PMO will provide leadership in best practices and is highly customer-focused - outward and inward, ensuring consistency with customer and leadership expectations.

The PMO must also ensure that the operational issues of the PMO are managed, focusing on the project interface with project leaders, project teams, and technology and application.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with other ATS leaders to define, prioritize, develop & deliver projects.
  • Project management focus of multiple projects, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
  • Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation and the communication of key information to operational leaders (No end of project surprises).
  • Overseeing the development of multiple projects and ensuring that team members are carrying out their assigned tasks efficiently while upholding the organizational standards.
  • Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes to continue to drive efficiency and operational excellence
  • Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting organizational standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
  • Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and key information

Minimum Requirements

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Business Management or a related field.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred / Required within 1 year
  • A minimum of five - 10 years' experience in managing a PMO organization in a related and/or similar field.
