The FI Organization is seeking a Capital Markets Strategist with proven global macro subject matter expertise covering both equity and fixed income markets. The strategist is the primary client facing interface to our advisor clients and should therefore be able to clearly articulate Fidelity’s macro view and how it could translate into portfolio positioning. The strategists will work alongside field wholesalers who will be responsible to coordinate those meetings and for follow-up. A successful strategist should generate strong positive qualitative feedback as well as sales lift from our clients and prospects.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • CFA or MBA preferred. 
  • 10+ years investment management experience
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required

The Skills You Bring

  • Must be able to gain instant recognition by clients as an investment expert
  • Demonstrates strong investment competence and strong communication skills
  • Able to interact well with both external clients (advisors, shareholders, boards of trustees, due diligence analysts, etc.) as well as internal clients (wholesalers, sales management, relationship management, etc.)
  • Ability to travel 50%

The Value You Deliver

  • Responsible for traveling with our wholesaling staff that cover the central part of the United States (e.g., Mid-West, Texas, etc.). Candidates who are currently domiciled in that region are preferred.
  • Speaks primarily on capital markets topics but should over time also develop a considerable expertise of Fidelity’s vast array of investment products.
  • Thrives in a team environment of strong investment professionals within the CMSG group and will be expected to perform in such a manner

Fidelity Institutional provides investment management services through investment professionals at financial institutions nationwide including wirehouses, regionals and independent broker/dealers, bank, trust companies, and insurance companies. The company offers Fidelity Advisor Funds, Variable Insurance Products (VIP) Portfolios, Fidelity Advisor 529 Plans, Systematic Investment Plans, Institutional Money Market funds, and a comprehensive line of retirement products and services in partnership with Fidelity’s Workplace Investing arm.  Our clients are financial institutions and investment professionals (IPs). Our goal is to help our clients grow their business so that we can increase our assets under management, and our market share.

This role is based for the mid west territory and work from home. No relocation is available.
