Job summary
As the VFX Production Coordinator for Prime Video’s new initiative, you will own management of media and files and be the support of our growing VFX Production team assisting in scheduling, tracking, troubleshooting, and QA/QC processes. You are highly detail oriented and organized, and someone who lives and breathes post-production and media management. You thrive working alongside the brightest minds in the business who are working to invent the future of VFX.
Knowledge of and experience with Shotgrid is a big plus. This won’t be your first time working under pressure on a fast moving and ever evolving VFX pipeline. You’ll lead the charge on organizing the team's media management and facilitate development of new workflows to simply, and ease pressure points. You’ll collaborate daily with VFX Pipeline TD and the CG Supervisor, report in daily to the VFX Supervising Producer and ultimately to the Head of Production.
You think in terms of efficiencies and solutions and you’re all about helping your team succeed. You understand the existing VFX industry, workflows, file types, render applications, and have a good understanding of VFX pipelines. You’re not afraid to explore new tools and you have basic knowledge of all the main 3D VFX tool sets, composition applications, and rendering engines.
As the VFX Production Coordinator, a typical day will consist of tracking, managing and guiding an increasing volume of video and audio files through existing workflows. In parallel, you'll help streamline our workflows wherever possible, and create visible calendars and tools so the entire team can track progress in real-time. You’ll be the first to know when there's a problem with a file transfer or render and you'll jump in to troubleshoot wherever necessary.
Key job responsibilities
*Own the management of all media files flowing between content studios, the VFX team, and third party vendors.
*Supervise the media management of all VFX media files, file transfers, and renders from the ground up
*Own the tracking of media assets coming and going and create visibility for the team via live calendars and tracking tools
*Be the right hand to the VFX Pipeline TD, supporting them in all of their daily workflow needs
* Work closely with our VFX Supervisors to ensure quality is always maintained at the highest level
* Collaborate with account managers, peers and leadership to deliver highest-quality, highly efficient, scalable, VFX production workflows and delivery solutions.
* Support the building of and improvement of our fast growing, technical VFX post production pipeline.
* Attention to detail and immaculate organization are critical .
* Exhibit thought leadership with regards to trialing and on-boarding new software and tools into our existing VFX pipeline.
* Exhibit extensive knowledge of cloud enabled workflows, pipelines, and delivery systems.
* You will advise and understand the complexities that come with supporting 3D VFX and immersive projects from inception to completion.
* Independently evaluate technologies, tools and techniques among our vendors and partners.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Shotgrid Experience a plus.
* 5+ Years Post Production experience with VFX specific workflows and digital media management.
* 2+ Years VFX experience within a medium to high budget studio, vendor, or productions - ideally utilizing Shotgrid for post production.
* 2-5 Years Experience with media management, file
* Experience with FFMPEG a plus
* Ability to handle a fast pace environment overseeing several projects in various points of post-production (development through delivery).
* You’ve worked under pressure managing multiple types of digital media through various post-production pipeline processes
* You’re comfortable working in tandem with other teams working abroad
* Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced online environment
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time and to meet aggressive deadlines
* Proactively manage timelines, deliverables, and keep projects on track around-the-clock
