Job Description

We have lots of great roles for those who share our values

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team, supporting our Finchley, North Finchley and Muswell Hill practices in North London.

This is a full-time (4-days) or part-time role providing wonderful flexibility to fit your individual needs. Part-time could be a reduced number of days. With either 1:3 Saturdays or 1:6 full weekends at our Hendon 24 hour Hospital.

This role would suit an experienced vet who is comfortable working sole charge and able to provide a high level of patient care and client satisfaction.

Joining our national network of veterinary surgeons at Medivet, offers exceptional opportunities for career development while enjoying a very competitive salary package.

  • Salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience (FTE)
  • £2500 Vehicle allowance or Company Vehicle
  • RCVS, VDS and BVA membership fees paid
  • 5 weeks' annual leave (FTE)
  • 4 weeks' paid sabbatical (after each 5 years of service)
  • Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay
  • £1,500 CPD Allowance plus 3 days CPD leave (FTE)
  • RCVS, BVA and VDS fees paid
  • Access to Wellbeing support and EAP programme
  • Access to wide range of discounts for days out, high street and holidays.

We also offer relocation allowances should you move more than 40 miles from your current home address.

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Branch:

This role will see you working both sole charge and within a team in our lovely Muswell Hill, Finchley and North Finchley practices, providing different practice environments and allowing you to gain exposure to varied surgeries and learn from a diverse team of veterinary professionals.

Here, you will create a large connection of colleagues, working together and sharing knowledge to deliver outstanding service and care for our clients and patients! Our branches are equipped with x-rays, full blood machines, ultrasound, in-house labs and dentistry facilities.

Just a short drive drive away you'll find our Hendon 24-Hour Hospital, which this role also supports for more state-of-the-art equipment. It houses an MRI/CT unit and so treats many interesting neurology, medicine, surgical and other cases. Plus endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, in-house bloods and much more!

The group is also supported by it's own pet blood bank, laboratory as well as other services.
