About the role:
A very exciting and fulfilling role Capita Fire and Rescue (CFR) operates a Fire service for the MOD. This role is to provide support to the Vehicles and Equipment Manager by co-ordinating the allocation and movement of vehicles across the service.
What you will do:
Support the V&E team with the day to day running and co-ordination of the fire vehicle fleet.
Duties include responding to telephone and email enquiries, allocation of assets and resources, maintain trackers and action logs and providing advice where required
Utilise the Red Kite the Asset Management System (AMS) and the Joint Asset Management and Equipment System to manage the vehicle portfolio
Support the V&E team with the day to day management and tracking of fire service vehicles across the service
Prioritise requests and demands according to operational needs
Support the movement of vehicle movements across the service to ensure that response capabilities are maintained. Liaise with a range of suppliers to seek quotes and place orders
Develop and maintain a general understanding of all policies and protocols for V&E
Understanding of the Equipment Support Assistant role to assist where required
You and your experience:
Previous experience of an admin support role
Experience of the management of assets and equipment stocks
Previous help desk experience
Good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Good decision-making skills
Awareness, if not experience, of the military environment and Defence sector
Awareness, if not experience, of the fire and/or emergency services sector
Familiarity in the use of asset management systems
