The role

You’ve worked on multiple digital projects already, and you're interested in learning more about the supply chain management space. As a tireless advocate for the customer, you’re excited to build and iterate on designs to discover what works best and applying your knowledge to create incredible software products that will change the world for the better.

You’ve got strong communication skills and can bring your team together to simplify, integrate, and co-create successful customer experiences. You enjoy working with customers to understand their needs and build solutions that will help make Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management a product they love.

We’re a multi-disciplinary team focused on working collaboratively to build creative solutions along with program managers, engineers, and data scientists. The role’s broad scope will give you ample room to flex your design muscles — both on projects that have immediate impact on our Microsoft cloud business as well as explorations that shape our long-term strategy, vision and UX direction of its products.

This role is open to flexible working location (within Ireland).

Responsibilities

• Be an avid customer advocate, considering customer needs and using research data along with business requirements to build high-quality UX solutions.
• Work closely with product managers and engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes that empower customers to do more.
• Produce detailed UI designs that transpire clear and objective user experiences. Deliverables may include storyboards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and vision pieces.
• Embody the "One Microsoft" motto and extend your design thinking beyond your own project, considering holistic company value in every solution you build.
• Contribute to a welcoming and safe working environment, fostering a diverse and inclusive team harmony.

Qualifications

Required skills and professional experience:

• Bachelor's OR Master’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field.
• Demonstrated industry experience in product or service UX design and/or visual design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present your work to peers across disciplines.
• Good understanding of working with or contributing to comprehensive design systems and holistic UI toolkits.
• Proficiency in modern component-based design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and the Adobe Creative suite.
• Ability to create highly polished UX documentation, functional specs, prototypes, mockups, user flows and other communication artifacts.
• A portfolio that effectively reflects your experience and clearly details the design journey in your work across information architecture design, usability, interaction, and visual design for UI (Please indicate your specific roles and contributions for each project submitted as part of the portfolio).

These skills are desirable, but not required to apply:

• Experience working in agile and lean methodologies in a multi-disciplinary working environment.
• Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and the ability to incorporate it into every stage of the design process.
• Familiarity with core interaction patterns and digital interface best practices, including accessibility fundamentals.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
