POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Utility Operator is responsible for general packaging and other basic production duties as assigned.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Moving packaged product off the production lines

Reading and verifying date codes

Packing off of the lines

Counting bones

Feeding bags onto the line

Inserting promotional materials into product packages

Making boxes/trays

Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Active participation in the Safety Programs

Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a positive attitude.

 Demonstrate a food safety quality culture in actions, words and spirit.

General packaging and other productions duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math and measuring skills

• Basic reading and demonstrated ability to understand and execute work directives communicated in English
• General organization skills
• Manual dexterity
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Familiarity with industrial environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to work under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, high, and/or confined spaces and have full mobility to climb stairs and ladders
