• You'll have an impact at all stages of product development. You’ll explore user behaviours and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and log analysis.
• You will help build and support a customer feedback loop within the LEGO Group and work closely with stakeholders from around the business.
• Using your insights, you will work closely with our product teams to develop new products and solutions which delight our shoppers and deliver value to the business
• You’ll introduce robust experimentation and optimization methodologies
• Through your research you will find engaging ways to communicate and define the problem users are facing and the help construct the problem statement(s)
• Support the UX Designers in elevating their own research studies, bringing in different research methods to create our research ‘toolkit’
• Work with the key insights teams across LEGO to understand existing research and data sources, using your expertise to help identify any gaps
• Advocate research findings to a diverse audience through engaging and relatable storytelling
• Demonstrate the creative freedom within the role to improve decision making and problem solving through design sprints, conceptualisation workshops and design studios
• De-risk the product development process to ensure what's built is usable, feasible and desirable
Do you have the determination?
You have a Bachelors’ or Masters in HCI, human behaviour or equivalent or proven relevant working experience.
• You have proven user/design research /experience design experience across multiple tools and methodologies (usability testing, tree testing, diary studies, heuristic evaluations etc)
• Experience within multiple digital channels, either online or in stores is a requirement
• You’ll understand multiple sources of data to understand the trends and where the core user needs are
• You’ll be comfortable moderating user testing in a way that teases out the core messages both in person and remote
• You can take user needs into a key storyline that can be taken to product teams as input into the solution
• You tend towards being curious and brave with a positive outlook. You have the ability to collaborate and build relations across teams
• You're driven by research data and have the ability to actively and persuasively seek and engage with peers as well as leadership
• Knowledge of OKRs will be an advantage
