The Role

Fidelity Investments is looking for a hands-on User Experience Researcher-Director who is passionate about their craft and improving employee digital experiences! As a member of the Digital Workplace Experience Chapter Area, you will keep the end user at the center of everything we do, ensuring we are delivering best-in-class digital end-to-end experiences for our associates and customers. You will sit with other designers and user researchers within the Digital Workplace Experience Chapter Area and be aligned to an interdisciplinary squad.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Experience

• 10+ years of UX research or related experience is helpful, including skills in leading and coordinating the effort of a team of designers
• A degree in a related field such as in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience, Usability Engineering, Experimental Psychology or related field, or equivalent education and related training / certification
• Experience working on agile teams delivering value in digital products preferred
• Financial or similar proven experience desired.
• Experience with user-centered design research methodologies and rapid conceptualization processes such as Lean XD, Design Sprints and Agile methodologies

Skills

• Identifying and developing strategic research opportunities to drive product and business strategy
• Deep familiarity with carrying out a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, task analysis, contextual inquires, ethnographic studies, & card sorting.
• A strong presenter and communicator that can help craft a measurable product vision that gets results and connects opportunities to collaborate across business partners
• Unwavering curiosity to ask why and dig deeper to understand the root causes of any ambiguous customer problem
• Planning, implementing and analyzing user research studies with the ability to flexibly scale them across desktop and mobile devices.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define & refine research objectives and ensure alignment with strategic, business and user goals.
• Partner with the product owner to help advise product strategy
