Job Purpose and Impact

The User Experience Designer will create innovative solutions for a wide variety of product design challenges in order to ensure a great user experience. In this role, you will support user experience requirements, create prototypes, design user experiences and collaboratively work within teams to deliver functioning solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with customers, users, product owners, development teams and stakeholders to understand and evaluate project requirements.
  • Support and coach the product owner in evaluating, analyzing and scoping project solutions from the customer or user perspective.
  • Create innovative solutions for a wide variety of design challenges including mobile, desktop, hardware interfaces, physical environments and person to person interactions.
  • Develop prototypes to effectively communicate interactions and design ideas around customer needs.
  • Present design deliverables to the development team, stakeholders, users or peers in informal and formal settings.
  • Make recommendations to product owners, development teams and other designers based upon user feedback cycles.
  • Create and present concepts to inform product roadmap or new product opportunities.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in user research
  • Proficiency with reporting, data visualization, extract, transform and load and database management applications
  • Minimum of five years of proven work experience as user experience designer
  • Experience working in the agricultural technology field

Position Information
