Microsoft is during a transformation of our business and culture, and our EMEA University Recruitment team are looking for a University Recruiter for the UK that can help us find campus talent to lead this transformation. This role focuses on building the campus talent pipeline for our organization to help us compete to win in this new Microsoft Era and has the mandate of hiring the best talent in the intern and graduate space!

Microsoft’s EMEA University Recruiting Team is looking for a University Recruiter to join our diverse and dynamic workforce. This role supports all of Microsoft’s non-Engineering university hiring needs, which may include both full-time, apprentice and intern positions in the UK.

A University Recruiter has to have a passion for telling our MS Story and will be the face of Microsoft with Universities, University talent and Early in Career talent.  They are our key talent generator in what is a highly competitive market.  The University Recruiter will own the engagement strategy with key institutions and strategic partners to create innovative and exciting hiring practices whilst maintaining a key focus on diversity and supporting the wider UK and International University hiring team.

Responsibilities

  • Campus/Schools Strategy - Create and deliver a proactive, innovative candidate sourcing strategy for the UK.
  • Campus/Schools Engagement – Develop and implement engagement strategy which serves to tell the Microsoft Story; design and deliver engaging activities that drive interest in Microsoft graduate, Intern and apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Diversity – Engaging with societies and external partner organisations to attract early in career talent to Microsoft opportunities.
  • Candidate identification and tracking – attract, track, report and close on the highest quality candidates creating a diverse pipeline of talent to fulfil Microsoft’s hiring needs.  Overall excellent candidate experience, both from a timing and quality in execution standpoint to enhance candidate and hiring manager satisfaction.
  • Relationship Management – develop visibility and build relationships with key university stakeholders to successful implement campus engagement strategy.  Build internal partnerships with business champs to enable story telling ability on campus.
  • Candidate sourcing and identification – attracting and closing the highest quality candidates including online sourcing where required.
  • Leveraging external market insights and data to influence hiring campus campaign decisions aligned to University Recruiting key metrics.
  • Data Insight – sharing market insights with recruiting counterparts to enhance team’s ability to consult internally with the findings.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role OR Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Account or program management experience in a similar environment.
  • Experience in creating candidate pipelines with a proven track record of hiring success.
  • Experience in delivering results through influencing indirect working groups with effective problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Team player, highly responsive and customer focus orientated and strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, contract effectively with clients and multi-task competing priorities/workload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong productive relationships.
  • German language capability would be a plus.
