As a Digital Product Designer, UI, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of digital experiences for IoT. You’ll collaborate with a world-class team of product managers, engineers, and other digital product designers, to fully design, develop and validate your ideas while applying your UI design skills to create engaging, intuitive solutions.
You’ll be responsible for developing a robust, flexible design system that enables the product team to execute efficiently while optimizing the visual and verbal expression of the brand. You’ll ensure the quality and consistency of UI design deliverables, including mockups, clickable prototypes, assets for development handoff, simple animations, and digital product guidelines.
The successful candidate must have exceptional problem solving and design thinking skills, a strong ability to advocate for users through design, and collaboration with technology teams. We are looking for a proven ability to think through every phase of design and someone who is excited to take on new, ambiguous products that will be industry-defining.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years designing for digital-first products
- A Portfolio of your work is required as part of the interview process
- This role is located in Boston, MA – must reside within commuting distance or willing to relocate for this role at your own expense.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing for Digital Products
Education, Experience, and Abilities:
- Software Fluency in the latest digital programs and tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Invision, etc.
- Skills in UI to create robust interaction design foundations or the ability to step in with expertise to help multidisciplinary teams with guidance or direction
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong Design Mastery in the core areas of Digital Product Design. Your portfolio will be assessed on creative excellence, storytelling, problem-solving and technical mastery.
- A case study that demonstrates the design process is essential.
- Strong design mastery and ability to solve problems using design skills demonstrated in a competitive portfolio
- Strong communication skills with the ability to justify your conceptual and directional design choices. Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
- Fundamental skills in photography and videography are a plus
- Industry Experience is a plus
