Job Description
The Cash and Trade Proc Sr Analyst is an intermediate level role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to apply in-depth knowledge, and contribute to the development of new techniques / processes for cash management operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert transaction input for deliverables from internal and external clients and vendors
- Contribute to special projects and provide feedback for all project related activities as directed
- Contribute to the development of new techniques and processes within cash management
- Develop and recommend strategic decisions based off in-depth comprehension of how the Cash & Trade Operations team interacts with others business unites in accomplishing objectives
- Influence decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating others in area
- Evaluate moderately complex issues with substantial potential impact
- Provide informal guidance or on-the-job-training to new team members
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in a related role to cash and trade operations and management
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Effective communication and analytical skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

TTS O&T – Sanctions Governance and Monitoring
Purpose of the Role

The TTS Sanctions O&T is a newly created function supporting Sanctions processes globally across Citi’s TTS business.This function strives to a) Make Sanctions processes a Competitive Advantage ; (b) Drive efficient, agile technology and processes (c) Full compliance to strategic operating model across TTS lines of business (d) Build strong risk / controls focus, ensure minimal surprises and (e) Deliver on all targeted improvement programs
This role serves as the TTS O&T manager is will be part of a wider global team responsible for establishing a governance and monitoring framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protects the franchise in a manner consistent with the Citi policies and risk framework across all LOBs, namely Payments and Receivables, Trade, Commercial Cards and Account Services in 90+ countries globally. Engages with the TTS Operations and Technology Seniors on sanctions matters including but not limited to Issue Management, Corrective Action Plans and monitoring of Key Risk Indicators and Trends. Performs proactive reviews to prevent processing issues, failures in controls, identifies root causes of issues, oversees remediation efforts and ensures sustainability of such efforts.
Key Activities
- Participate in various remediation efforts and maintain governance and oversight for all TTS Operations issues completely and in a timely manner through the drafting, implementation and tracking of relevant Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
- Assist in performing complex analyses of comparative data and monitoring trends to identify compliance related issues, managing escalations of issues (clients and internal) and ensuring all such issues are remediated in a sustainable manner.
- Minimizing compliance related issues through proactive reviews of process, management of risk and control processes (e.g. lessons learnt mechanism, review of processes etc.), root case analysis and embedding learnings across TTS.
- Serves as liaison with Internal Audit, and Compliance Assurance Teams on critical Compliance issues and oversees the implementation of related remediation. Collaborating with other internal areas including: ICRM Sanctions, Control Functions, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues which may impact TTS business, products and procedures and ensures learnings are deeply embedded across Operations teams.
- Assessment of complex issues, structuring potential solutions and driving effective resolution in partnership with stakeholders in TTS O&T and ICRM Sanctions. Provides advice to the function/business/product on an ongoing basis on new initiatives, new processes, new products, and client-related matters with respect to applicability of policies, resolution of potential red flags or other client/transaction-related compliance escalations.
- Supporting O&T sanctions initiatives as required, such as the implementation of new Compliance systems, detective and preventive controls, and related project management work efforts.
- Staying abreast of relevant changes to Citi sanctions policies, identifies impact of such changes on TTS procedures and proactively works with O&T teams globally to adopt such changes in manner that is consistent with policies and is sustainable on the long run.

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
- Experience in Transaction Banking products or handling regulatory / compliance matters.
- 5+ years of relevant regional and/or global experience in a financial institution
- A Bachelor’s agree in any subject would be preferred
