Travel Consultant

The Travel Consultant is responsible for accurately and efficiently handling incoming requests via multiple channels (i.e., phone, email, etc.). You will be the primary point of contact for the client and provide active travel consultation towards the business customers including providing the travel details and up-selling of related products. This position demonstrates a strong understanding and applicability of all areas of responsibility. You work independently on requests and help team members as needed. 

A snapshot of this opportunity• Search and confirm travel reservations for the client• Provide the client with the required travel industry information such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties• Fulfill all requests regarding necessary regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas, etc.)• Maintain current knowledge of the various travel industries supported• Strong understanding of a client travel policy and can consistently provide consultation to the client• Expertly use the appropriate BCD Travel tools and systems to complete requests• Excellent knowledge and application of travel supplier rules• Provide travel offers and general travel advice to travelers How You Can Set Yourself Apart• Relevant experience in the corporate travel industry• Strong proficiency using GDS Amadeus• Excellent Dutch and English language skills• Demonstrate excellent professional customer service skills• Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously• You have strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
