Reporting to the Director of Transportation, you will manage daily planning of transportation, for finished goods and raw/packaging materials through the Supply Chain, including both customer and stock transfer orders. You will meet defined financial goals and metrics related to transportation management, including load factors, mode usage and route guide compliance. You will participate on project teams and train new employees on processes. In addition to Transportation Planning responsibilities, you will provide system and process expertise during the work day, lead projects involving other departments and backing up the manager during absences. Support end-to-end supply chain analytics platforms through data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and presentation.

You Will:

• Lead transportation related projects and testing, related to both transportation system changes and changes to systems that work with the transportation system
• Maintain pool schedules, IDOCS, SAP transit times and department share point site
• Participate in supply chain initiative projects supporting through analytics and operational expertise
• Complete daily coverage for loads shipping between facilities and to our Customers
• Work with facility daily on issues regarding loads not covered or picked up
• Be the contact for communication back to customer service and inventory deployment regarding carrier failures or issues
• Address daily reports showing loads appointed for delivery after the Required Delivery Date (RDD) or that have no delivery appt. day before the RDD
• Organize and consolidate LTL/TL shipments into truckloads while reducing transportation expense
• Follow route guide compliance and work to use awarded carriers to reduce transportation costs
• Escalate and identify issues to Transportation Planning Managers regarding facility, carrier or customer trends
• Work with sites and customer service on order issues at the warehouse level
• Retrigger and understand points to get orders to show from OTM to SAP

You Have:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Supply Chain Management or related field
• 2+ years of transportation, analytics, or supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and how to create new reports
• Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, Access, Oracle and SAP
• High technical knowledge with experience in data manipulation and visualization
• Understanding of transportation management terms and concepts
