You’ll fit right into Greggs as a Transport Team Leader if:

• You’ve had some experience of leading a team and love playing an active part in the success of your workmates.
• You have a Category C & E Driving licence and Driver CPC.
• You know what you’re talking about when it comes to vehicle legislation, drivers' hours and tachograph legislation.
• You’re happy talking to a variety of people from different backgrounds and you can discuss your teams results with the Transport Manager as naturally as having a chat with your workmates.
• You’re good at planning and organising your own work and time, as well as your teams, to make sure targets are met and our loyal customers leave our shops happy.
• You know what you’re talking about when it comes to using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• You are supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is good.

What you'll do

As a Transport Team Leader our drivers will look to you for direction and answers. You’ll have support of the Transport Supervisor, who you’ll report into, but it’ll be down to you to lead team huddles and briefings so everyone knows what is expected of them. This includes daily targets, results and also health and safety and food safety procedures. It’s busy here at Greggs, so you’ll enjoy working in a high speed (not on the road!) environment and rolling up your sleeves by getting behind the wheels of our trucks to make sure the nations favourite products are ready in our shops to serve our loyal customers.

On the first step on the management ladder, you’ll be hungry for that extra responsibility and be able to demonstrate that you have what it takes.
