To be responsible for the Transformation enablement and on-going Digital Operations in VNO – Core Transport Networks. Ensuring the right Strategy, Tools and Systems are implemented and comply in order to respond to the changing needs of the business:
- Support and implement the digital agenda aligned with Steering Transformation and Excellence and the ZTO strategy
- Identify & deliver opportunities within VNO Core Transport and associated cost-efficiency through Transformation
- Create and maintain the Digital roadmap capturing requirements to support cost-effective budget management
- Reporting on Transformation & Compliance performance and efficiencies
- Exploiting systems and technology opportunities to achieve an efficient, integrated and de-layered Network Operations model that can effectively support complex products and services
- Managing the compliance, services and lifecycle of system technology projects and changes into the Assure Organisations.
- On-going operational management for the digital tool set.
- Support in defining operational requirements for RFQ’s. Ensuring operational readiness via an integrated model and final project sign-off
- Promote Agile methodology within Transformation & Compliance and adopt better ways of working
- An interface for outward- functions in relation to project updates and security compliance
- Support General operations and improvement actions generated post incident
- Role may be require working outside of business hours and or on-call support
Job Responsibility
With us you will:
- Establish robust points of interfaces across Network Operations, Engineering, Group IT, Security and Enterprise Services as well as other Vodafone teams that drive new technology and system requirements
- Ensure a cost-effective delivery framework for Digital Operations prioritised through analysis and intricate business cases
- Ensure performance and efficiency of Transformation & Compliance aligned with Steering, Transformation and Excellence objectives
- Establish formal communication channels into stakeholder base for Operational standards, compliance, project deliverables & lifecycle
- Own the completion of in-depth impact assessment & implementation
- New Systems – Act as a primary contact for requirements, Solutioning, development and UAT. Prime interface with IT
- Support our Tech Ops on strategic Lifecycle/BAU.
- Lead the requirements specification of new management and support System functionality enhancements (as driven by new technology/products and key process improvements opportunities).
- Project delivery and initiatives within Steering, Transformation and Excellence
- Deliver improvements following the Agile methodology with internal and external stakeholders
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Experience of managing a highly productive team working to deadlines
- Have a Good understanding OSS/BSS ITIL processes
- Project management experience
- Good understanding of telecommunications principles
- High level understanding of Digital & Automation Framework
- Familiar with Dev Ops Approach
- Degree or equivalent preferred but not essential with relevant experience
- Ability to remain calm when working to demanding timescales and deadlines.
