Job Purpose:
The role of the Training Support Team Leader is, through the management of the training support team, coordinate training and development programme across Rail for London Infrastructure, to ensure all training, assessments and development programmes are run efficiently and effectively.
Supporting the training team, the post holders’ responsibilities will include external training relations for RFLI Supply Chain, ensuring accurate data entry for senior leader reporting and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Key accountabilities:
Support individuals and managers to identify training and development needs, to develop and maintain competency profiles for the relevant job roles.
Support others in the development of training, assessments and development programmes (both internal and external) to ensure both organisational and individual needs are met.
Manage the planning of (both internal and external) training, assessments and development programmes, to ensure individuals are planned to attend training at suitable times and locations to maximise attendance and minimise conflict with business needs.
Manage a team of coordinator to undertake bookings of training and assessment, making sure everything is in place to allow events to run as smoothly as possible and minimises cost to the business.
Manage processes for training and assessment, ensuring that process are fit for purpose and the team in act the processes, to allow for planned and ad-hoc training and assessments.
Manage the training evaluation process and suggest improvements based on the feedback received
Manage and update training and assessment records to ensure the business has accurate records that can be relied on in a court of law.
Manage regular and ad-hoc reporting ensuring the information is current, accurate and fulfils business requirements
Providing management support for project activities across the RFLI Training team. This includes managing the external commercial ventures to build a stable income stream.
Daily management of group mailbox, responding to queries and issuing training & assessment event information. This includes creating training invites, managing cancellations and keeping trainers up to date with any changes.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of rail, construction and/or engineering industries, or a keen interest to learn.
Knowledge of how to use of SAP, My Know, Kallidus LMS, MS SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of how training, assessments and development programmes can be run efficiently and effectively.

Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including experience of working in an environment that requires communicating with a wide range of senior internal and external stakeholders.
Intermediate to advanced IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel (including complex formulas), and SharePoint
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
Task focussed with methodical approach to work paying close attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and deal with competing demands.
Ability to gain understanding of various RFLI training systems.
Experience:
Experience of working on own initiative, accurately and to tight deadlines, and to prioritise between conflicting demands.
Experience of promoting and building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of supporting teams in a business support or admin capacity.
Experience of supporting the management of complex contractual and commercial relationships.
Experience of managing training, assessments, and development programmes
Experience of creating complex reports using IT systems
Experience of managing admin teams
Experience in managing and large workload to effectively assist the RFLI Training team, enabling the delivery team to prioritise work streams.
A high level of experience and involvement in the booking & management of events within an operational environment.
