Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Predominately responsible for planning training courses for the Royal Navy 
  • Creating and producing the Long-Term Plan for all courses under the scope of project Selborne.
  • Assisting in creating and scheduling of course templates in the internal system
  • Upload course dates
  • Engage multiple external authorities to ensure resources are in place
  • Providing the necessary levels of administrative support for visits, guest lecturers, external venues, courses within courses during the timetabling and planning process.
  • Supporting training course related accommodation and travel requirements for trainees.
  • As required build and produce reports

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working on a Management Information system. 
  • Experience of creating reports - any experience using Sage, Oracle, etc  would be advantageous
  • Coordinating/administration experience
  • Demonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications.
  • Analytical thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Experience of working in fast paced roles and dealing with significant amounts of change.

About Project Selborne

Project Selborne is a wide scale, 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training.  The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN.  The consortia of partners known as Team Fisher includes Raytheon UK, Elbit Systems UK, Fujitsu and University of Lincoln together with 14 other UK-based suppliers.
