Job Description
Due to internal development we are now looking for a Training Partner for Food Led Pubs to join the Marston’s L&D Team, to help create and implement a Skills Training strategy to deliver pubs to be proud of.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about people development, skills development, personally driven and someone who strives for greatness. In this role you will be leading a team of Training Managers and Skills Trainers who provide training support to our ambitious CapEx programme, create and deliver inspiring career path training, and support our pub estate with a team full of impressive front of house and back of house expertise.
Main responsibilities:
- Developing and delivering the skills training strategy for Food Led Pubs in line with the overall business strategy
- The evolution of our career path structure and content to improve internal succession, and support recruitment by making us an employer of choice
- The delivery of our ambitious CapEx programme through effective resource planning and industry leading training support for investment sites
- The delivery of relevant and inspiring induction training for our General Managers and Senior Pub Teams supported by your Induction and Career Path Manager
- Analysis of weekly guest and operational insight to ensure relevant training is delivered at pace
- Working closely with your colleagues across the L&D Team to provide both support and consistency in our digital learning platforms, apprenticeships, Wet-Led training and Leadership Development
- Working closely with your stakeholders across the business to ensure that training priorities align with those across the business in Operations, Commercial Marketing, Guest Insight, Retail Systems and Health & Safety
- The leadership of a large, high-performing field based team, with on high levels of communication and a strong focus on engagement
Key Attributes:
- Passionate about all areas of learning and development, with expertise in skills training
- Strong organisational skills and project management/time management skills with an ability to manage numerous big projects and priorities simultaneously
- A strategic thinker that asks powerful questions and can think critically
- The ability to think laterally across the L&D Team whilst still adding value in the detail when required
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage both within their own team and with their stakeholders
- Proven experience in hospitality/retail industry
- Good understanding of all Microsoft packages
- Confident in presenting to small and large groups of delegates.
- Able to travel nationwide and has access to own vehicle
