Job summary
The Amazon Vision Operations Center (AVOC) team is an initiative, which remotely handles exceptions in the Amazon Robotic Fulfillment Centers Globally. AVOC seeks to complement automated vision based decision-making technologies by providing remote human support for the subset of tasks which require higher cognitive ability and cannot be processed through automated decision making with high confidence. This team provides end-to-end solutions through inbuilt competencies of Operations and strong central specialized teams to deliver programs at Amazon scale. It is operating multiple programs including TRON, VBI, Proxemics, and other new initiatives in partnership with global technology and operations teams.

AVOC team is seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead, coordinate, execute and implement various training programs used to train new hires and existing associates including leadership. S/he will become an expert in AVOC processes, liaise with Operations Managers, Team Managers and global leaders to ensure training deliverables meet accuracy and throughput standards. The Training Manager must have a passion for, relationship building, as well as data efficiency and accuracy.

Key job responsibilities
Manager III, Training will lead the Global training team by managing training support for all AVOC programs across different sites. He/ She will be responsible for designing and developing infrastructure and mechanisms for all training programs. He/ She will establish standard methods for design, evaluation, delivery and reporting of training programs to ensure high level of quality in training delivery.

He/She will build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships that aligns training delivery with operational success. He/ She will build effective performance management mechanism for the training teams across locations.

Manager III, Training will on-board innovative training practices to enhance learning methodologies for operations and support functions. He/ She will effectively leverage e-learning, internal Amazon and external training tools and methodologies. He/ She will identify and utilize multiple channels to support a broad array of learners and learning objectives, such as digital learning (videos, eLearning, and online tools), virtual instructor-led training, instructor-led training, simulations and assessments. He/ She will identify solutions for content and knowledge management for operations.

Manager III, Training will drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes and programs, seeking best practices and utilizing inputs to establish global standards. He/ She will act as a career development coach for the team, actively mentor L4/L5 Training Managers and Trainers. He/she will actively lead hiring of L4/L5 Training managers globally and will be accountable to setup the team to support AVOC training.

In addition, they will think innovatively to drive organization wide performance higher through close analysis of data and designing programs in partnership of the Customer excellence and Quality teams. He/She will also support Learning and Development initiatives by partnering in content development, planning and co-ordination.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 10 or more years of experience leading an operational organization in a global environment, responsible for an overall team of 200+ employees.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills both remotely and face to face.
· Proven evidence of success in operational management, operational enhancement and operational change.
· Proven experience of managing and developing two levels of management and their direct reports.
· Good knowledge of employment law and HR policies and procedures.
· Proven coaching and leadership skills including evidence of successful succession planning models.
· 8 years+ people and performance management experience.
· A proven track record of implementing, delivering large projects and communicating effectively at Director Level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· - Advanced degree /Master’s Degree (Math, statistics, Engineering, Science, Business) from an accredited university with 8+ Years of similar experience.
· MBA from a top tier B-School is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills required
· Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Experience working in Global team environment with multiple time zones
· Six Sigma Black belt, PMP or similar certification
· Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations
· Decisive, confident, and experience with influencing others
